Delray Beach Air Conditioning Services

Close to the ocean, cooling systems battle both heat and salt, and a struggling unit usually shows it first in rising humidity and power bills. We repair every major brand, replace worn-out systems with efficient equipment sized to your space, and install ductless units for sunrooms and additions. Read more on our air conditioning page.

Heating and Heat Pump Services in Delray Beach

Winter in Delray Beach usually means a few cool mornings, and that’s when many homeowners discover their heat pump or backup heat strip no longer works. A burning dust smell or cold air from the vents are common first-use complaints. We repair, replace, and service heating equipment so it’s ready for the season. Visit our heating services page.

How to Tell Your Delray Beach AC Needs Repair

  • The system short cycles, turning on and off every few minutes.
  • A white or green crust forms on the outdoor coil or cabinet.
  • Your condensate line backs up and leaves standing water in the drain pan.
  • The AC can’t bring the house below 78 degrees on hot afternoons.
  • A squealing or grinding noise starts when the blower kicks on.
  • Your summer electric bill jumps compared to last year.

What Consistent AC Maintenance Does for Delray Beach Homes

Salt residue and dirt on the outdoor coil force your compressor to work harder with every cycle. Routine maintenance clears that buildup, checks electrical connections for corrosion, and flushes the drain line before algae takes hold. The result is a system that runs cooler, uses less power, and has a better chance of reaching its full expected lifespan.

Plumbing Services in Delray Beach for Homes and Businesses

Delray Beach grew in waves, and the plumbing reflects it. Downtown homes from the early and mid-1900s often have cast iron or galvanized pipe, while communities built in the 1970s and 1980s may have polybutylene or aging copper. Our licensed plumbers repair leaks, replace worn piping, install fixtures, and respond to urgent plumbing issues for homes, condos, and businesses across Delray Beach. See our plumbing services page for more.

Delray Beach plumbing services include:

  • Brown or reddish water comes out after the tap sits unused.
  • A sewage smell lingers near floor drains or in the yard.
  • Toilets clog often, even with normal use.
  • Baseboards feel damp, or paint bubbles on interior walls.
  • You hear trickling water inside a wall.
  • Hot water pressure is noticeably weaker than cold.
  • Protect your floors and walls: Catching a leak early keeps water from spreading under tile or into drywall.
  • Stop mold before it starts: Delray Beach humidity gives mold a head start anywhere moisture lingers.
  • Keep repairs manageable: A cracked fitting costs far less to fix than the water damage it can cause.

Sandy soil and a shallow water table put steady stress on underground pipes throughout Delray Beach. In older neighborhoods near downtown, cast iron drains corrode from the inside while roots from banyan, ficus, and palm trees work into the joints. Western communities built decades ago are dealing with original supply lines and fittings that have reached the end of their lifespan.

Delray Beach Water Heater Repair and Installation

Most tank water heaters last 8 to 12 years, and many Delray Beach homes are still running the unit that came with the house. Rust-colored hot water, popping sounds, and puddles at the base are all warning signs. We repair, flush, and replace tank models and install tankless systems for households that need more capacity. Details are on our water heater page.

Delray Beach Drain Cleaning and Sewer Services

A drain that clogs once is a nuisance, but one that keeps coming back usually points to a problem deeper in the line. We run a camera through the pipe to find roots, grease buildup, or damaged sections, then clean, jet, or repair it based on what we see. Learn more about our drain and sewer services.

Electrical Services in Delray Beach From Licensed Electricians

Delray Beach homes range from cottages with decades-old wiring to newer builds loaded with smart devices and EV chargers, and our licensed electricians work on all of them. We handle troubleshooting, panel replacements, lighting, surge protection, and new circuits for homes and businesses around the city. As an official Generac dealer, we also install and maintain standby generators. See our electrical services page for more.

Delray Beach electrical services include:

  • Kitchen or bathroom outlets lack GFCI protection.
  • Lights flicker when the washer, dryer, or AC turns on.
  • Extension cords have become permanent fixtures in some rooms.
  • A breaker feels hot or smells like burning plastic.
  • Exterior outlets or fixtures show rust or corrosion.
  • Someone in the home relies on medical equipment, and there’s no backup power.

A Generac standby generator switches on by itself when the power goes out, which makes a big difference for Delray Beach households that:

  • Depend on oxygen concentrators or other medical equipment
  • Spend part of the year away and need the AC running to control humidity
  • Want to stay home comfortably after a hurricane instead of relocating

Salt air works its way into meter boxes, exterior outlets, and outdoor disconnects, especially near the beach and the Intracoastal. Summer lightning adds surge risk for every appliance in the house. Many older homes also still run on panels sized for a much smaller electrical load, which becomes a problem as homeowners add larger AC units, pool equipment, and EV chargers.

Delray Beach HVAC, Plumbing, and Electrical Questions

Yes. We work throughout Delray Beach, from the beachside neighborhoods and downtown to the communities west of I-95 and the Florida Turnpike. Our live answering team takes calls 24/7.
Salt carried on the ocean breeze settles on your outdoor unit and slowly corrodes the coil, fins, and electrical parts. Over time, that can cause refrigerant leaks and early failure. Regular coil cleaning helps, and we can recommend corrosion-resistant equipment when it’s time to replace.
Algae and sludge grow quickly in Delray Beach’s humidity, and they collect inside the condensate line until water backs up. We clear and flush the line during service and can check that your safety float switch is working to prevent overflow.
Yes. Our licensed plumbers inspect cast iron lines with a camera to see how much has deteriorated, then repair or replace the damaged sections. Many homes near downtown still have original cast iron.
Rusty hot water, rumbling or popping sounds, leaks at the base, and hot water that runs out faster than it used to are the most common signs. If your tank is more than 10 years old, it’s worth having it checked.
Yes. A properly sized Generac standby generator can power oxygen concentrators and other medical devices along with your AC and refrigerator. We’ll make sure the circuits you depend on are covered.
We do. Our team regularly works in villas, condos, and single-family homes within Delray Beach’s gated and age-restricted communities, and we can coordinate with your association when access or approvals are needed.
If your system is under 10 years old and the repair is minor, fixing it usually makes sense. Older systems with frequent breakdowns, rising energy bills, or R-22 refrigerant are often better candidates for replacement. We’ll give you an honest recommendation.
Yes. Our licensed electricians can add outlets and dedicated circuits, and we’ll check whether your panel has the capacity to handle the new load safely.
Yes. We offer financing with payments as low as $99 per month on new HVAC systems. Ask about options for other major projects when you book.
Yes. We handle HVAC, plumbing, and electrical work for restaurants, retail shops, offices, and other businesses throughout Delray Beach, including along Atlantic Avenue.

JD was wonderful! Although there was a hiccup in getting the right equipment, JD and his helper were able to put up scaffolding and install a ceiling fan 30 feet high, in under two hours. He did an amazing job. I would use Spectrum again in the future, and would most definitely recommend and hire JD again.
